Just got back from a holiday in Spain.
My UK contract allows me to use my data/texts/calls as I do at home, with one proviso: no mobile hot-spotting (which is more than reasonable)
In a nutshell, the data never worked. I've pushed the handset to Windows 10 preview through Windows Insider and it appears the issue is, even when the hotspotting is totally switched off (that's EVERY option in there), the network is still detecting the handset has it enabled. This wasn't just one of the networks either, it was all of their partner networks in Spain (MoviStar, Yoigo).
So, is this an issue with Win10 or the handset? I had no laptop on my 5 day visit, so couldn't revert to Win8, but trying a friends sim in my unlocked handset created the same issue - the data stopped working.
