Roll back option

I have a recovery disk and windows image back up on an external HDD that I created before getting the TP. On my Hp envy convertible due to lack of HD space I got rid of the windows.old which is why I am assuming the dual boot option on start up is missing. However I have the recovery image in C: which I believe is for the rollback option which we get on start up.

My question is can I remove the recovery image folder as I have that and the recovery disk on an external HDD?
I should still be able to restore the old image using the external source, shouldnt I?
It would give back some valuable space on my laptop.

I did roll back and went to check that file on my computer...it is empty for me

As long as you have made recovery discs you should be able to delete anything on your hard drive.

Do I have to use system tools to remove these folders or a good'ol shift del would suffice?

I've always just used delete.
