Rooms messenger has location?

I was looking at one of my rooms and noticed in the messenger pivot their is a button for location. Press it, and it shares your location via Bing maps. Has this always been there?

Yes, it is in the normal messenger as well. Came with wp8

Wow, I use messenger all the time, I'm surprised I never noticed.
