Running into 80188308 installing GDR1 or Pre Update

Hi,
so a few people run into this problem. Anyone with a solution to it yet?
I have EE NL920 Build 8.10.12397.895

I'm having the same issue. Tried it twice. It downloads the update them goes to restart the phone but the install stops a gives the error.

Same, have received error 80188308 four times. I deleted the temporary files and internet history before attempt 4 (and also turned off and on again), but the update still failed with the same code. Also had a weird battery level glitch after the first attempt. Started installing update around 90%, and fell to 12% in the space of a few minutes. Didn't generate any heat. It took only 15-20 minutes on charge to get back to 100%.

Not sure what to try next. UK Lumia 920 EE

Would help to know which phones you got. Also when I ran the backup for apps and settings it runs through but into errors. do you guys have the same problem?

Shame it always has to download it again. takes ages and fails :O But I had similar problems with the last update which solved itself half day later. maybe it is just the servers that are overrun.

Tried to install for a fifth time after a soft reset but that didn't work either. Bored of trying now, will try again another time.

Same on Lumia 920 on Orange UK. I also had my battery drop from 100% to 60% when I tried 1st time round. Even though it states it's temporary I'm guessing we'll have to wait for MS to do something!

I have no problem downloading and installing , but after the phone restarting itself to fully installing the new update . error appear after 30 mins later . L820
