Is the game Ruzzle cross platform. Can I play against android users?

It appears to be cross-platform. The following appears in Windows Phone Store and in Google Play, "If you like playing word games then you need to join over 35 million players and try Ruzzle!"

It also says it is cross-platform in this article.

I have no idea how well it works, since the free version is not yet available, and I'm not going to buy a game that does not have a trial version available.
