However, you can probably use the ativ s daily with little fear about scratches, etc. In other words, a large scratch on the back of your yellow 920 is going to stand out, but the same scratch on the back of the ativ s isn't.

Just so you know, there's a reason why on the 900's debut and no doubt with the 920 Nokia said that the casing is colored all the way through. So it's gonna be the same.

The 900 actually scratches and wears pretty easily. The scratches also really stand out, some colors more than others. Either way, my carrier is Verizon so it's either the 8x or Ativ for me.

My point wasn't to question durability. A scratch/blemish is going to show up more on a 920 because of its simplistic design and beauty. A dent on a Ferrari is going to be noticed by everyone; on a Buick, not so much.

I had a focus and focus s before i got my 900, and I never worried about either getting scratched because they had more of a utilitarian appearance. For some I think that's a selling point.
