I have a Samsung Focus S set up with Straight Talk's Tmobile SIM. Everything is working except MMS. In the Wireless Manager, whenever I set the MMSC to "http://mms.tracfone.com", it reverts to "http://mmsc.cingular.com" when hit the checkmark and leave the screen. What's going on?

Your method outlines the steps for an ATT Sim, but I'm using a Tmobile one.

And just to clarify, my MMS screen in the wireless manager before it reverts to the cingular MMSC reads as follows:

APN name: mms_line
Profile category: mms
MMSC (Activated): http://mms.tracfone.com
APN: wap.tracfone
Auth type: none
Username:
Password:
Proxy address:
Proxy domain:
Proxy port:

Why do you have tracfone in the mms if your using straight talk?

Because the Straight Talk T-Mobile SIMs use those settings. ST no longer uses AT&T-based SIM cards, neither does Net10 or any of the MVNOs under America Movil's umbrella.

Do my settings look correct? Any help with this?

Use the proxy address - 216.155.165.40 Port 8080 - on your MMS settings and change your APN name to Straight Talk MMS (it's supposed to not matter but it's worked for me)

Now, when I select "mms" in the Profile Category section, it reverts to "other" after I save the settings...

No, it didn't. Also, (I don't know if this matters), under the "Cellular" settings on the phone, Data roaming options is set to "roam" and network selection is set to "automatic".

First of all, I really appreciate the help. I know for a fact that people have been able to get MMS working with the Focus S/ Focus Flash on Straight Talk's Tmobile SIM without using anything but the samsung Wireless Manager, so I'll keep your method as a last resort. I know this is doable working with just what I have; all I need is the right info.

AT&T recently dropped ST. ST is no longer selling AT&T sims, but those with them can use the AT&T network via ST.

Wow. Thanks for the confirmation. I guess I better stick with this network so I can still use this phone.

where do i find the "wireless manager"?? i cant find it anywhere on my samsung focus flash and my mms doesnt work and i cant download any apps bc nothing shows up in the marketplace.....PLEASE HELP!!:crying::cry:

Wireless manager will be in market place->Samsung zone. Why doesn't marketplace show anything, never heard of that? I have flash and focus s, could probably help you if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Also, focus flash is an att phone so if you are trying to use a ST sim you must make sure its not tmobile. If it is you will need to unlock the phone thru att;)
