Samsung G Book 12 External Hard drive lag/latency.

Hi There,

I'm using my Samsung galaxy book 12 with a USB Type-C hub that allows for my external hard drive to connect via USB 3.0 to the hub and than to the book 12 so I can access my files.

When i play content like a video and I pause it, I have a bad lag/latency problem when I unpause it.

Why does this happen?

Is It the USB Type-C hub i have, the notebook or is it something else?

Does this occur after you've left the video paused for some time or even if you quickly pause and resume the video?

Is there anything else plugged into the hub?

Yeah, If I leave the video paused for a while 'i.e I go to get a drink or get interrupted and roughly 20 seconds plus' passes, the lag/latency problem will still occur.

If i pause the video and unpause it straight away the problem dose not occur.

I also have tried it with the USB Type-C Hub empty and only the hard drive connected to it as well as connecting my hard drive directly into my notebook and the problem will still occur no matter what.

I get the feeling that when I unpause the video after a delay that the notebook needs to go find the video again to continue playing it.
