I'm considering the SB to replace an old macbook pro, and I'd need to run lightroom and photoshop on the laptop. For those who have used these programs on the SB, how have you found the experience? Is the touch screen & pen a big help?
I assume last year's 256 GB / i7 - 8GB / dGPU configuration would be sufficient, but please let me know if you think otherwise.

Thanks for any inputs!

The pen is brilliant in lightroom. I love using the pen for direct edits. Much more intuitive than a mouse or trackpad. I'm running an i5 with dGPU and lightroom runs great. I'm sure photoshop will be no problem at all.

Good to hear! Thanks for your response.

Been working in Photoshop and find the pen brilliant. No perceptible lag at all. The touch input on Photoshop is great. Ironically I find Illustrator to be a horror show on the Surface Book. Terrible lagging and the touch interface needs work. Not what I would have thought. I'll keep working with Illustrator to see if I can find a way to make it work but Photoshop and Lightroom are good to go for sure.
