Do the on-screen buttons ever go away. I saw some apps on the 635 trailer that where full screw and others that where not.

So does the on-screen buttons go away when you are watching videos?
Also the screen in 4.5 including on-screen buttons correct?

Is tho faster and smoother than the Lumia 521? As long as the phone is fluid the I'm good. Also clear black looks a lot better, than the 521 without.

Nope the buttons stays on the screen and yes it's lot faster when compared to older devices like lumia 521 due to new quad core processor.

Okay thanks,so it's more of a 4.3/4.4 screen since,you can't really use it all.
Thanks for the clarification.

I know it's 480x854,but still not really sure how big the screen "really" is.
The extra 4 pixels are for the onscreen buttons, most likely.

I also would of hoped they changed it,so when you are playing full-screen video, the buttons go away.
That is unless you tap the screen to make them appear/disappear.

Get out a tape measure. The screen is as advertised at 854x480 and 4.5' display.

Don't have it yet,but I will Friday.... I mean it is 4.5' but seems like false advertising if it's not all "usable".
Seeing as the screen and keys are "one screen",then it's likely 4.5' total

If anyone is willing to measure for me,I would appreciate it!

Why are you using quotes around usable? Do you not mean it and are implying something else?

Misuse of quotes and the word literally, is at epidemic proportions.

Screen is 4.5". That includes the navigation bar. If you don't include navigation bar screen is 4.375"(content). "Usable" screen is 4.5" as the navigation bar is "usable".

Thanks. Also they should take cues from android. On certain apps like video, it should fade away until screen is tapped.

I could swear yesterday that when I was watching videos on my 635 that when I turned the phone sideways and watched the video full screen - the soft buttons slid off the screen and the video took up the whole screen. But I can't make it happen again. Wonder why? Certain apps only perhaps?

Pretty cool!
The buttons hid away when I brought up this quick video that was shot yesterday
Really liking this phone more and more...

It works, but only on Xbox video app. Kinda sucks, but it's a start, maybe more devs need to implement it.
