screen/digitizer replacement questions

I have read there are different version of the screen/digitizer for the surface pro 3, IE v1.1. How do I know what version I have before ordering? Do I have to remove the old broken one to find its version number. Or does it correspond to the serial number of the device? Also what glue do I need for glueing it back together?
