Screen Flipping

While playing GTA, I'll often see an issue where the screen will bounce back to the start screen as if I'd pushed the start button, which I'm not, I hold the device at the sides. It's completely intermittent and I don't know what triggers it. Sometimes it will happen multiple times, back and forth between the game and the start screen, it's really driving me nuts.
