I've had my 928 about 2 weeks and its frozen maybe 4-5 times and a soft reset always fixed it, but this time it has frozen and the soft reset has done nothing. What are some other ways to fix this? Also, do I just have a faulty phone? Should I try and get it replaced by verizon? or will another phone just do the exact same thing???? Please Help

This is such a shame because i really love this phone but my father is a huge Iphone ****** and did not want me to get this phone. I use my 2 year upgrade to switch to this from the iPhone 4 and now he get's to "I told you so" me to death even if its just a problem with this particular phone.

This happens to my 928 about once or twice a month. I can deal with that.

The crappy part was it happened once when my alarm was going off. So that was no fun.

Sounds like it happens a lot more often to you. Soft reset is the only way I have heard of fixing this. You can try to get it replaced.

Well I have until the 15th to change my Lumia 928 in for another phone using my upgrade. So I guess ill try and get the Lumia replaced and if the problems persist I'll be forced to go to another phone :(

cant you just exchange it for another 928?

Mine is about 6 months old. No problems with screen freezing until a few days ago. So far, waiting a few minutes allows it to clear up but I have had to do two soft resets in the past 7 days. Anyone else with a 928 starting to see this as a problem I suspect the problem with mine is it needs a hard reset but Gosh, I hate to have to do this.

I had this problem about 4-5 times A DAY. Recently it stopped and i've only had to reset it once last month. I am pretty sure it's a software issue because i'm on my 4th 928 and they all had the same problem. I'm running the GRD3 preview so maybe an update got pushed and helped. The issue didn't come up until I upgraded to Amber. Hope this helps.

If you haven't signed up for the developer preview, do so now and upgrade to gdr3, it helps decrease screen freeze frequency(but doesn't cure it)

I've had a 928 since it was first released and the only time I ever had issues with it freezing is when I had the 'double tap to wake' feature on. Turn that feature off (if it is on) and see if that makes a difference.

Yeah I took it back and got it replaced on like the 28th of december. No problems since then with the new one

I had screen freeze day 3 on my first 928. Verizon exchanged for another. The second one didn't freeze until about 2 months in, but I just do the soft reset and it doesn't bother me. I tried GDR3 developers preview; I don't recall if it ever froze. For other reasons I flashed my OS back to GDR2 using Nokia Care Suite. The phone is working better than ever.

I wonder if the original OS install on your phone was faulty (and maybe mine and others). Not everyone 928 user is reporting the screen freeze issue.
