Pictures generally upload to the cloud. Do you have Skydrive?

I cannot think of any way that you can get the pictures. Did you not have Auto Upload turned on?

Sorry man. That really sucks. This is one of the reasons why MS should add SD card support to all devices. Seems like your paranoia bit your behind this time. I hope you can get it repaired and retrieve the stuff you need soon.
