Screenshot should be now taken with volume UP and Power Button?When did this happen?How?

Just got a message when i tried to take a screenshot.It said that something's changed and now screenshots should be taken by pressing Volume UP an Power Button...

OMG !!!!!!! THATS TOTALLY TRUE ! it doesn't tell me to take the screenshot by using volume up , but when using down and power it just turns the screen off ! And can take a screenshot using up and power ! AKWARD !

The change took effect with the windows phone 8.1 update

Yes, it was implemented in WP 8.1 when the requirement for physical buttons was lifted. So it makes no sense to require someone to press the windows key if he doesn't have it.

8.1 Yeah, it's pretty dumb but necessary since they watered down the WP specs to have the option not to include capacitive buttons.

Hmmm. Do the phone hardware guys not know that's also a key combination in use on Surface? But has a very different purpose there...

When 8.0 + Black updated to 8.1 + Cyan...

I was using Volume Down and Power button for taking Screenshots In Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 10 TP. Yesterday i Reset the Phone and then this happened.It was not like this before...

Since it changed from Windows + Power, I've always used Vol Up + Power.

Just checked that combo and it works on:
Lumia 520 official 8.1 + Cyan
Lumia 928 official 8.1 Update + Denim
Lumia 1520 official 8.1 Update + Denim
Lumia 635 Insider Fast Track Win 10 Phones

I don't have a phone on Black to test
