Scrolling on new design is horrible

I just noticed there is a new site design today and it has made using the site rather a painful experience. The scrolling is really slow and choppy in IE11.

It appears to work a little better in Chrome but still feels a little clunky.

It actually seems better on my IE11 system. I have IE9 at work and that's where it really had trouble.

The odd things is I have scrolling issues more so in IE11 typically when using a mouse. IE11 can be really smooth when using the touch screen.

Do you have any other specifics other than the scrolling seems to be choppy? We haven't been able to re-create the issue on our end... so the more specifics you can provide, the better.

I'm actually seeing it on two PCs now. I made a mistake above, the work PC is also running IE11.

The scrolling doesn't respond then when it does it over scrolls only to get stuck again. I guess you could call it choppy scrolling.

My touch based laptop seems to work just fine with IE and the touch screen but not when I use the mouse. Both systems also scroll in chrome just fine.

It's mostly an IE problem with the mouse but the older design didn't seem to have this issue.

I have to agree with the choppiness. It is the ads for me. They take so long to load. It doesn't matter if I'm on my PC or tablets, using Chrome or IE, the ads slow down page loading and scrolling significantly.

I have this issue too. Lumia 1020 w/ IE11 on WP8.1 Update 1 - when I go to the mobile site on a news article occasionally the scrolling stutters/stops. Haven't had any similar issues on any other sites on my phone

Has somebody been working on this? Because it was really sluggish for me too (ff v32 beta4), but it's flying along now :)

Sorry for dredging up an old post but any news on the front page/article choppiness with scrolling? It's more centered around the scroll wheel and WindowsCentral is the only site that I'm having a problem with.

List view is a little better but the delay seems to be the header graphics.

Scrolling through the forums is perfectly fine.

I'm running IE 11 on Windows 8.1 64 bit; 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5900 series with an Intel Core i7-980X.

@primortal - we've pushed a number of updates on this. Try clearing your cache to see if that makes a difference!
