SD card problem. There may be a something wrong.....error

It says after the windows splash screen when booting 'SD card problem. There mat be something wrong with this SD card. Insert it into a computer to try to fix it'. Then there is the close button. I close and boots the rest of the way. I inserted it into the reader hub thing of my desktop(linux-ubuntustudio)...nothing went wrong. Was able to read fine. Is there any reason for this and what does it truly mean?
