setting up email in Outlook 2019 in the default setting will setup a 365 account automatically. For those without a 365 account, just a normal IMAP account will need to setup the new account manually.
I went to the ISP page yesterday to grab the correct IMAP server settings. Turns out they were incorrect about their own information. As often is the case i had to use guess work, play around with different settings. For example, they said use SSL and certain settings like 587 and so on. None of it worked. I changed SSL to auto and it worked.
Is this really the state of the art in email setup in recent versions of Outlook? Just curious to know your thoughts.
