Settings/phone update not working fine

I have been waiting for long time to get the BLACK UPDATE on my LUMIA 720. Later realized that the problem is with my phone!
The problem is,Whenever I click on CHECK FOR UPDATES under SETTING / PHONE UPDATE,It keeps "CHECKING FOR UPDATES" but never really shows up one..Already waited for about 30mins and its still "CHECKING FOR UPDATES"..It clearly shows something is wrong with my phone!

ANY SOLUTION FOR THIS ?

have you updated extras+ info, audio, glance etc. Update on your phone, if not install sysapp pusher app & check system apps all,is to be updated.
After that check for update, it will take time as it depends on internet speed

Every other app is up to date...Its just that my "phone update" isnt proper..

Well, it'll take at least 15 Minutes on a 3G connection. You just have to wait and have some patience.

In that case , I have checked the option " Automatically download updates" but still there is no notification abt the update.

Microsoft's update servers are a mess in India. Guess we'll have to bear with them on this one.

Every other app is up to date...Its just that my "phone update" isnt proper..

then manually click,on phone update nd wait, if you have WiFi then it will be very good, as you will get notifications in 30-40 max, try & tell us what you will got , give screenshots as it help better
