Setup Problems with Windows 10 Nokia Phone

I recently bought a Lumia 950 XL Phone, and aside from discovering Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 10 phones, I am having problems setting up functions like Facebook, which does not seem to recognize my 10 year account on this phone. I am also wondering just how deeply the non support will affect this phone, will I be able to communicate with others through email and messaging? I remember when the windows XP OS was abandoned, but I know of people who are using it successfully to this day! So is the situation similar with this phone as well?

Facebook no longer supports any windows mobile. Everything should work as expected.

Have you tried a 3d party app? SlimSocial for facebook is a good lightweight app, works a lot better then the official Facebook app. Here is a review on other options Facebook on Windows 10 Mobile in 2019 - your options

The phone will still work fine on a basic smartphone level. You just won't have any major first-party non-MS apps available or available for much longer. If you are okay with that then it will be fine. What struck me was how strange it was to use a phone whose Store had no proper social media apps available. It was actually quite refreshing in one way, but also a tragic reminder of how far the platform has sadly fallen too.
