Shattered 1020 screen

I shattered the screen on my 1020 and would like to ask what is the best way to replace it? I'm trying to hang on till a new flagship phone comes out or at least the next version of the 1020. I know I may be waiting a long time seeing how slow MS is moving. Has anyone replaced the screen before and how did the phone work after?

yep had replacement done with no issues at all.I wouldn't wait for new models it could be a long wait

It's a very easy replacement on that phone of you buy an LCD assembly. Took me all of about 15 minutes to swap one out a week ago.

Thank folks. I ordered a replacement hopefully I will be able to replace it with no problem. I watched a video on one of these forms and it seemed easy enough.

You'll need some Torx screwdrivers to do it. Might as well order those now too. I forget the exact sizes for the 1020, but it should be in your video.

I got everything replaced everything and its working. One thing is I'm not sure if the light sensor is working or not. It does not seem to dim the screen in dark rooms. Is there a way to check if the sensor is working?
