Not sure which part of Idol is more premium than x3. Lower res screen, smaller battery, no wireless charging, no NFC? Having metal doesn't make it premium. The plastic finish on x3 is really nice, even better than the Lumias i had. Hp is a global company with strong tech support. I'm sure the price is better w Idol, and that's because it is cheaper to make hence less premium. But if price is not an issue, I vote for x3.

I've been waiting to get the X3 since it came out. It's just now that it is available here in the Philippines. But I'm having second thoughts of getting one since its very expensive for a Windows Phone. Still worth buying? I sold my Xiaomi Mi Mix coz I want a new phone. Hehe...It was a great phone but I'm really looking at the X3 now.

Negative reviews are fine, but ignore the snotty ones in this thread. The camera is about 85% of the 950xl. The 640 is NOT EVEN close in performance. That's utter garbage. The idol 4s in some ways feels more premium, but they don't support the phone. Not a SINGLE firmware update and the camera is about 65% of the XL even at 21mp. The x3 is the best we are getting for some time, until the X3(2) comes out later this year.

Yap, I'm still using an Idol 4S and no support from Alcatel. I'll probably buy and X3 and use my Idol as a clock or something. The camera blows, white balance is off and it locks up frequently when using camera.
