Should I get developer preview after cyan?

I have taken a month ago Lumia cyan on my Lumia phone. I heard a rumor about update 2 coming 8th October and I wondered if it is wise to enroll to the developer preview program to get update 1 with folders which I like a lot? Had anyone heard when update 1 is coming to normal users? What are the rules for enrolling in the developer preview program and will I lose guaranty or something?

As for updates after WP8.1, we have absolutely no idea. Considering not everyone has WP8.1 yet, probably a little while still.

If you have issues with your phone you can always convert it back using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool prior to sending it it.

That's of course if you have any issues before your warranty runs out. Warranty here is only one year.
