Re: should i install win 10 for desktop now ?

I've been running the preview on an old laptop for a month or so; the latest build (10162) is solid as a rock.

Don't try it if it's your only machine, you have data you can't replace, etc etc... but I have no complaints here at all (my tablet's a different story...).

Yes, i've been running it on my daily work desktop for months now, and 10162 is really fantastic. It just works! I would make sure to do a good backup (or make sure all your stuff is in OneDrive) first.

Desktop, yes.
Tablet/touch, NO.

I've said it before, and I say it till MS fixes things... But the tablet/touch interface is still buggy and NOT complete. W8.x is still better in tablet mode than W10, for now.

I have been rolling on the latest preview in a 2011 laptop and run great... No bugs so far.
