Should I see the Get Windows 10 registration app on my Surface 3?

I've done a bit of Googling and ensured I'm up to date, but I don't see the Get Windows 10 invite on my desktop. I'm sure you can register for the free upgrade without this app, but this has me wondering if I have other problems lurking.

Edit: oops - maybe I do have something wrong - my keyboard is doing funny things tonight.

I don't think you keyboard malfunctions mean that you won't get w10 xd Just hold off a bit. July 29 is right around the corner, but keep it mind that (afaik) w10 will first be pushed out to those in the "beta" (insider) program, so if you're not you might have to wait a few days after the 29th

If you have all your updates installed you should have a Windows logo in your system tray on the desktop.
If you click on that you can preregister for the release.
The files will download before the 29th but won't install until then.
