Shutdown Problem

Whenever i shut down my windows 8.1 pc, shutting down screen displays and the display goes blank within seconds but cpu switches off a lot later than the screen. What is causing it and how to fix this?

Help will be appreciated.

This is common in windows 8 , actually it suspends all the activity when the monitor turns of , the reason why CPU stills take time to power off. When I first used windows 8 , I thought there something fishy but when I researched and saw many other windows 8 machine , I got relief :smile:

I fixed it..Disabling fast startup in control panel/power settings fixes it..
