SIM Unlock

Has anyone had any luck getting their SIM unlocked on Sprint?
I was hoping to make the jump to Cricket and wanted to try to unlock it before I left.
I know that their official policy is that the phone has to be activate on a line on your account for 90 days and you can't have any prior unlock requests for 12 months.
I did this for the misses' iPhone 5S not that long ago without realizing the 12 month restriction so I can't for a while.
I've tried 2 different phone unlocking websites and got a refund from both saying that they couldn't get the unlock code for the phone.
Can anyone shed some insight on this?

I'm pretty sure the ATIV S Neo comes from the factory SIM unlocked... I could be wrong but I remember reading that. I also do know that on my sprint.com account page, it shows me the PIN1/PUK1 unlock code so I have the code should I ever need it. I never put in a request for it, it's been there since I bought and activated the phone.

PIN1/PUK1 are totally different codes not to be confused with Network unlock codes, if you use those codes on you account to try to network unlock your phone you will permanently lock you device. Network Unlock codes are usually only given by the Carrier or if you buy from 3rd parties. my 2 cents

pin1 secures your phone on powerup. get that code wrong three times and you need the puk1 code to unblock it

Yup, PIN1/PUK1 are the codes for SIM security. I've contacted a SIM unlocking company that said it would take 12-36 hours and that was 48+ hours ago. Hopefully they come through. I wish had a SIM that I could check to see if it were unlocked to begin with...
