Dan and members,

Do you like to skin or theme the look and feel of your Windows experience? If so, what do you use?

I don't think skinning or theming is as popular as it once was, but curious if you (or members) are still doing this. I have tried a variety of options listed below, but also wondering if there are new ones I am not aware of.

Skinning solutions that are still available that I have used:
  • Stardock WindowBlinds - themes the window experience
  • Stardock Start10 - themes the start menu and taskbar experience
  • Stardock ObjectDock - creates a mac os like launcher
  • Winstep Extreme - themes the start bar, creates a workshelf experience, has a launcher bar, and desktop widgets
  • Rainmeter - adds live content and graphics to the desktop
  • Taskbarmeters - adds live CPU, Mem and Disk icons to taskbar.
  • Truelaunchbar - adds plugins/widgets and themes to the taskbar

Curious of others thoughts.

I'm trying to figure out a way to un-ugly the folder icons & maybe get column view in file explorer... Other than that, I can't say the Win 10 experience requires theming. While I'd love it to look like JarvOS in Ironman. I can see how it wouldn't be most peoples cup of tea... What would be really nice is if MS added theming to the OS (a la android). I really just want app and folder icons to be customizable. and for file explorer to be less ugly in general.
