slow internet explorer

I just received my icon the other day and coming from an iPhone 5s the web is painfully slow. Google can take a good 10 seconds to load sometimes while on the iphone is was virtually instant. Has anyone else experienced this or is it a problem with just my device?

What your connection like and are you using WiFi or mobile to connect?

Sorry I should have been more specific. Lte data is where the issue is. I have good signal and never had a problem with the iPhone in the same locations. I'm also starting to get "no internet connection" in some apps.

This is just some troubleshooting to see if it gets rid of the issue:

Make sure your device is up to date and has the correct setting.

Try a soft reset which you hold the power button and volume down button until it vibrates.

Your carrier might be having issues with lte or doing some work which is causing the issue that could be another thing to look into.

I have done all that including a hard reset. No other phones on Verizon are having issue so I guess it is the device. Thanks for the help.

I get the "no internet connection" in some apps as well. Its a brief occurrence when it does happen, but makes me wonder what's going on. My signal is fine and usually WiFi at the time. Wonder if its a WiFi connection hiccup at the time. Maybe, but doubtful as none of my other devices do it when connected to my WiFi.

As long as I connected to WiFi, then there is no issue with my data connection in any app, smooth and fast. But the cellular data is inconsistent sometimes, however I'm using T-Mobile on this, so it may not be the device issue.

I just spoke to a tier two tech for Verizon who said this has been a common complaint with the icon. He also said an update was coming to fix it but he didn't know when. I can only assume that it will be coming with the Nokia update that's rumored to come with 8.1.

Common... Yet this is the first I've seen it on this the largest WP8 community on the internet?

I have zero complaints about IE. Its been very good. Tried UC a bit. Now that's slow.
