Hi,

I received the firmware update today (international unlocked version in Australia) however the OS Version is still 8.0.9903.10

How do I go about getting the latest OS Version that everyone else seems to have?

Might be a geographic issue, did you buy a unlocked international version intended for Australia from a local dealer? You could send it in to Samsung for un update, in Europe they do provide this service!

I took WiFi off, put another Telstra sim in the phone, and all the updates came through ... WTF

Only in Nokia phones we can set Google as default search?

The only thing I was really interested in was WiFi staying on when the phone was asleep, got that now.

I just got 3 more settings updates via the market, as I said these were about call forwarding, more messaging settings etc

Yup: Advanced Text Messaging, Additional Call Settings, and Contacts Import. I haven't used any since the update; can anybody confirm if they're just stability updates, or other? (And they said Samsung wasn't supporting their phones).

they were improvements adding more options. These 3 settings were regularly updated the last 2 weeks
