SMS threads dissapear after phone reset

Hi!,

I am one of those who still uses a windows phone as my primary phone.

Recently I did a reset on my Lumia 640XL.
Now, I am facing two issues:
1. My SMS tread hasn't synced.

2. The phone tile for the second SIM is missing.

This forum has never disappointed me and over the years I have learned a lot about windows ecosystem from this forum.
I hope to get a response from the community on this issue.

1) Did you restore?

2) Did you login with the same microsoft account you used previously?

3) Did you turn on sync messages between devices under sms settings?

In regards to the phone tile, I have seen people say that the one recent phone app updates merged the two tiles together. As I don't have a dual sim phone myself, I can't confirm myself as unfortunately there appears to be no updated change long that is publicly accessible.

In my experience, after a reset, previous SMS messages take varying amounts of time to reappear on the device. More than a day in one case. I always assumed MS servers where they are stored don't make that a high priority.
