Out of curiosity, does anyone know if it would be possible to use an external graphics card on a device with Snapdragon processor?

I think it's early to tell but I'm pretty sure it'll need ARM drivers first. But that's just my speculation.

External PCIe devices are a feature of Thunderbolt, which is on Intel chipsets only.

Do Snapdragon processors even use PCIe? If not, then no existing GPUs (internal or external) would work with it since they all use PCIe to communicate.
I can't find any mention of PCIe on Qualcomm's website so I don't think it's possible at all, at least not with existing chips.

We're going to have to wait and see what AMD + Qualcomm partnership brings to the table.

But as Xandros9 said, Thunderbolt requires an intel chipset so hardware and software from intel.
