Snychronizing highly resoluted pictures from my Lumia 1520

Dear All,

I still have not figured out what is the most efficient way to transfer the highly resoluted pictures taken with my Lumia 1520 to my Surface Pro.

Inarguably, I've adjusted the settings on my Lumia 1520 to save both a 5MP and a highly resoluted picture. Also, the automatic OneDrive upload is enabled. However, the pictures on OneDrive seem not to be the highly resoluted ones. There are files to be found with something like "_high" on my Lumia 1520 but transferring them manually is painstaking as they are among many other different files (e.g. thumbnails).

I am looking forward to receiving feedback on this.

Are you referring to the .dng files or the 16mp files?

One drive as far as I can recall doesn't support auto upload for .dng files unfortunately, if the latter it was covered in this article back in may 2014.

Windows Phone 8.1 will now backup your High Resolution Lumia photos to OneDrive | Windows Central

Thanks for sharing. I'm indeed referring to the 16mp files. I've checked my settings and they seem to be correct. However, the pictures uploaded to OneDrive still seem to be the 5MP ones. I will doublecheck when I'm home later.

I have the same problem. My 1520 doesn't syncronize high res 16 MP photos. I have checked "high quality" in One Drive Options but only upload 5 MP photos.

Do you find any solution?

Thx.

I think what techfreak is saying (which is in the link he provided), is that you can backup the 16mp JPG files automatically with onedrive, but if you have your phone set to take 16mp DNG files it will only backup the 5mp JPG. If you set it to take a 5mp JPG + 16mp JPG it will backup the 16mp JPG.

I was going to say the most "efficient" way, would be to connect your phone to your PC (Surface pro) with the USB cable and import your pics that way.

I've tried to change the place of storage from SD to the telephone and no change; only syncronize the 5MP jpg, not the 19MP jpg. Of course, I'd try with WIFI.
