So I have a 1520... AMA.

Really annoyed they haven't made a 5" flagship line. they should create different lines like Samsung.
When Microsoft buys Nokia I'm assuming the phones will just be Microsoft Lumias, so like this;
  • Lumia X (1520, 1320 - Flagship phablets)
  • Lumia Zoom/something else camera related (1020 - Extreme cameras)
  • Lumia Mini (520, 620, 720, 820 - Budget friendly)
  • Lumia S (920, 925 - Flagship, but not phablets)
  • Lumia XL (2520 - Tablets)

Events would go as follows:

  • Spring - Lumia X, Lumia S, Lumia Mini
  • Fall/Autumn - Lumia XL, Lumia Zoom, Surface

I feel nokia thinks that bigger is better. Since people have different likings, they need a variety of phones, high and low end, from 4-6 inches.

No but in seriousness by biggest question would be the performance, considering this is the first quad core windows phone 8. A good app to run would be something like temple run brave maybe, comparison tests against that and the 1020 perhaps ?
Is the build quality up to usual Nokia standards as well ?

Is the phone running the Lumia Black Firmware? If so, is there anything new with that?

Yes it's running Lumia Black. As you saw in the first picture it has the notifications using Glance, but that's the only thing I've noticed so far. If you have the Developer preview then you also know what's included as well.

I just skimmed through the thread and it looks like no one asked this yet. How's the battery life?

The guy you had a nice conversation with to get the phone, he dont know anything about Lumia 929 or an global version? Going to give my 920 to my dad and want a new one. I want Nokia to give me the
opportunity to choose between two phones with the same specs but different screen sizes.

Okay I tried to answer all the questions from when I was taking a nap here. So in these respective pictures someone asked about Office, pretty much it's just upscaled to show more info. I did the jean pocket test one picture with it in my front jean pocket and one for those who carry it in the back pocket. I took a screenshot of my homescreen so you can get a general idea of how many apps you can fit without scrolling up. Screenshot of the new apps and screenshot of the keyboard in both landscape and portrait. I also have a picture showing it runs Black.

Lumia Black does not come with Developer Preview GDR 3.
