That's a windows phone 8 os thing not a phone thing. if you already have a lumia with the gdr3 or gdr3 dev preview you could try it yourself.

It's just GDR3. There's no difference between it and what we have on our developer preview version of GDR3. Except for Lumia Black. Doesn't do much aside from glance. So no, there probably won't be backgrounds until mid next year with 8.1

There will be glance backgrounds in Lumia Black because Nokia showed this on stage at the release event

I don't have the 1520, but can say with a high level of certainty that the audio quality coming from the phone's built-in speakers will be awful, as it is with all phones.

Music through headphones is pretty much the same as the other Lumias. I'm using some Audio Technica headphones.

There is more to the sunspider score than just the processor and the browser. I get a surprising 1140 with my 1020 and 906 with my 820. Same browser and same processor. Best guess is the 1520 is more like the 1020 than the 820 so the improvement is over 80% from that perspective. The 920 and 820 apparently have less overhead for some reason when running this test. Curious about the 925 now. Is anyone with a 1020 getting different results?

How does it feel? Does it feel like a premiumed quliaty material used? Or does it feels like a cheap plastic of Galaxy Mega 6.3?

Never held the Galaxy Mega but its not cheap. IMO, even though many complained about the heaviness of the 920, that phone felt solid, like a tank. I had the glossy white and that felt like a premium device. This device feels on par with the Titan One. If you have had the experience with that phone, its as similar to that IMO. I've held the Samsung Galaxy series phones and the 1520 feels 10x better than that cheap crap.

I posted a picture earlier. Its two separate trays that is together to look like one giant tray on the left of the phone. You need something small to put in the small hole to open it and pull the trays out.

I made a short 4:00 mminute video using my 1020 as I dont have a professional camera. It's wildly terrible though and condensed so maybe I'll try to make another one. My 1020 was having a terrible time focusing.

Speakers on the phone are really loud and crisp. Unfortunately , I have never used a HTC One or have seen anybody with one, sorry.

Shouldn't there be an option to make the screen super saturated like AMOLED in the settings? That's a touted Lumia feature in the Amber update. Display calibration. LCDs can achieve the same heavy color clipping as AMOLED (HTC One, Xperia Z1, LG G2), but its harder for AMOLED to appear more natural without looking dingy. Movie mode on my Note 2 for example, which has full RGB AMOLED, looks very dingy even though its closest to sRGB.

Can you change the color themes to anything else besides white on black / black on white? I ask this on every Windows Phone release. If I could customize the colors, I would like it a lot more.

So when I had first got the phone it was set on Vivid+Warm for the Color Saturation and Color Temperature as you can see in the screenshot. My Lumia 1020 was set automatically on Enhanced+Neutral when I got it. So I've recently changed it to that of my Lumia 1020 to see if it will make any difference and report back.

Color themes is still Light or Dark backgrounds and the same old colors for the themes. Nothing new there.
