It makes me wonder what the logistics of doing something much bigger like attempting to buy Nintendo would be. The intellectual property alone would be a game changer. Imagine a world where the next Mario, Zelda, Metroid or Smash Bros were exclusive to Wii U and Windows phone. Clearly those franchises alone can support a company for years. Then turn to Xbox and its easy to see how that could change MS,s position in Japan. (where ms and Xbox barley sale at all).
Nintendo appears to be dying right now although that alone may not make it an affordable target.
Either way (and off the subject) I'm hoping to see Microsoft at least start to merge all of its app stores (WP, RT and Xbox) so purchased apps can be used on any capable MS hardware. Oh, and while Xbox integrating is great for Windows phone Xbox branding needs to stay off W if it we want professionals and business people to take the platform seriously.
