So much hate for Bing

I'm just sick and tired of Google's entitlement kick.

Google is so great it gets to invade every bit of your data and mine the carp out of it? I'm not here on this earth to feed Google's money chest by being a cog in its advertising mill. Enough. Google is neither a privilege or a right. And it's not just a search engine; it's an invasive species trying to replicate your life and sell it as an advertising model on the open market. Google makes me cringe any more. Find one way to knock out their relentless ads and they find another venue to shove them back into your face.

The fact that if I don't have the right popup blocker running means that Google Ads will appear in my Gmail inbox makes me rant and rave.

When you see the top 3 search results are ads and there are 5 more on the right column it makes me want to retch.

If you click on an article so you can read and become informed and there is a giant advertisement blocking the text and you close it, then Google wants feedback on why you don't want to see it and the TRUE ANSWER is not available makes me pull my hair out in frustration. Guess what Google? I didn't dismiss your ad because it isn't relevant. I did not close the flipping advert box because you didn't try hard enough to find an ad tailored just to me and really what I want is for you to start sniffing up my bum harder so you can detect what brand of cheeseburger I did eat last night. I closed it simply for the fact that is an ad. I closed it because you shoved it in my face unwanted, unasked for and without any warning. Now I'm not only not reading that ad, I'm doing my best to remember never to visit your sycophantic monetized partner site ever again with their click bait make money for nothing bull snot.

It's insidious and getting worse over time. I used to love Google. I never hated any other search engine.

Now I actively hate Google and am trying my best to root it out and be as Google Free as I can possibly make my life. Yes... all search is based on the same premise... Find out what drives consumers. True enough. Google is just so doggone brazen about rubbing my face in it and now when I see anything Google I just imagine someone laughing maniacally as they attempt to subvert the whole world to their advertising addled philosophy.

I'm out.

I have to use Google because it's international search engine.
Provide good search result for both local & international.

Bing is made for USA only.
It is good for international but for local ..........not so much.
Some fans will suggest you to change your region to USA for better result in bing. But why we do that.
You can get same or better result from google without any change.

I think bing is hated because for USA it is top notch search engine but for rest of the world it's like 3 class search engine.

It's like bing is telling that you are inferior because you are not from USA.

So, I do not use bing.(except for porn search- provide the best search result)

I love bing. its more accurate in here than google.

maybe bing isnt popular than google.

Actually to test that I change my 4 friends search engine from Google to bing.
Guess what none of them was happy from that.

It's actually quality not popularity.

I don't like Bing for a simple reason, it doesn't give me the search results I need.

I too resent Google's invasiveness. It was one of the reasons I got a windows phone.

However, the default search engine for Cortana on my windows 8.1 phone is Bing, and Bing just doesn't work well. I'm posting this because, just yesterday, I tried to get some simple information on my way to town to do some errands. For example, I wanted the website for a bank so I could check the hours the bank was open. I give the name of the bank and the city and Bing supplies me with a page full of websites that report on banks -- but not the bank's own website. I give the same information to Google and it gives me the banks website and I get the information I need.

This kind of thing happens to me a lot. So, no matter how much I would rather not use Google, it is my preferred search engine. Why? Because it works. It gives me the information I'm looking for, usually on the first try. I can't say that for Bing.

I'm told that Microsoft monitors these kinds of topics, because they have a business interest in Bing becoming more popular. So -- Microsoft, if you are listening -- and you want more people to use Bing -- you are going to have to improve it. It's that simple.

In the meantime, I'm probably going to dump my windows phone when my contract is up. That's how much I am annoyed with Bing. I need something better.
