Hello, so Skype got an update today so that US users could use Cortana with the app, now I live in the UK and I also got the update, but it got me thinking, why release an update for Cortana when most of the world can not use it without needing to change there region, does that mean the final 8.1 update including Cortana will be releasing any day now?

The Skype update does have nothing with region. It has to do only with Cortana, but Cortana is available for US region.
