So Who's Getting One?

I'm not a fan of 5.5'' but the continuum is pretty much going to make it worth it. I like the idea of a true desktop experience from a phone, and Microsoft honestly needs leverage from a company like Acer, who had decent enough reputation with windows handsets.

I would need to know more details to determine if this is the right phone. RAM, storage, battery, price etc.

Um, what decent reputation does Acer have with windows handsets? Certainly not with phones,... and the reputation their computers have are cheap. So I am not sure Acer's reputation is something Microsoft needs or wants.

That being said, I think it looks nice but tbh it reminds me of the Galaxy S4(I believe) design wise and it looks a bit cheap. Ironically people are going to buy it over say a 950/950 Xl because of its rounder corners that make it look cheap.

I would be open to a Jade Primo or a non-Lumia phone IF I knew I could fully rely on the OEM.

IMO and experience acer has a much better build quality and reliability than asus and HP. I have a yaffle of acer products and all work like clockwork. My latest asus purchases have been duds. 2 out of 3 vivotabs have **** the bed. Nothing I have purchased from acer in the past 15 years has ever let me down. Monitors, computers, tablets, notebooks....nothing. Hell as I mentioned in another thread here, my sons acer notebook has been dropped, stepped on, took a full fall down a flight of stairs, and been slept on. the only thing that happened was 2 keys on the keyboard popped off and I lost the retaining clips. Other than that it worked fine....

If 950 is not available unlocked at launch @ microsoftstore.com then I may consider this.

I'm considering one for sure. If it is definitely cheaper than the 950 but still has decent quality, then I'll get one.

I have an Acer w700 dual booting windows 10 and Android 4.4.2. Never had an issue and its the best pc/tablet I've ever owned.

I'll probably get one over the lumia. Its affordable and its the only flagship windows mobile that has any definite pricing and plans for my country. I'm just worried about lack of liquid cooling.
