Soft reset every morning

Just picked up a Surface 3 at the weekend to replace my painfully slow HP x2.

All is good with one exception - throughout the day the device runs fine and turns on at a click of the on switch, however when I try and switch it on first thing in the morning I have to do a soft reset as it wont wake up.

I have nothing other than the standard apps loaded and office and Win10

Any ideas ?

This is a problem with something called Connected Standby. It does not work as Intel/Microsoft envisioned right now so disable it and your tab should resume as normal.

As you've described it, your S3 is entering hibernation after a shorter sleep period. It takes longer for it to come out of hibernation so that is what you're experiencing when you hit the power key in the morning (hope I didn't misread your post because it sounded like you didn't shut it down at bedtime).
