'Software package not available for this phone' Error when attempting to roll back to WP8

Same problem is on my Lumia 920 (RM-821)

I was considering going back to 8, when going back home from vacation, and updating to official Cyan since my carrier has released Cyan two weeks ago, but one of my L920 friends that has already did it, tells me that the official update is not as smooth as the DP. Also he couldn't revert his friends 920, and he kept getting the same message since yesterday...is it maybe a server issue?

Same problem here............Lumia 920 + DP WP8.1+ GDR1.......
even updated yesterday's DP update.....it was 34Mb......
now its 8.10.14157.200....
Cyan is launched in india for L920.....
but unable to upgrade.....because i've to first downgrade to 8.0....

I connected both nokia software recovery and updater...but error shows...
"Phone info package not found on server"

really exhausted....
Shame on Nokia+MS.....they cant even launch proper OS update.....such a shame.
I've just purchased Moto G......and definitely will through this dum.b.shi.t OS in dustbin

If you have cyan, you can't roll back to WP 8. If you have DP and black, you can downgrade, unless Nokia UK has not yet uploaded the black rom on the software recovery tool server.

They are uploading the firmware, give some time. Besides, the support you have received for the 920,a 2 year old phone, you won't get on any other phone. The galaxy s3 was also released in 2012, and its support was stopped long ago, no kitkat or Android L. be happy that you are supported until 2017.

I am on DP 8.1 update and Cyan is out for L920.. Since MS has stopped Cyan update to DP users due to Bitlocker issue. So in order to get Cyan, DP users will have to downgrade..
