[Solved] Mobile Data connection on Samsung Ativ S WP 8.1

Hello guys,

I have a Samsung Ativ S running Windows Phone 8.1. My phone has some problems connecting to the 3G.

When I turn my phone on, there is no problem. The mobile data connection works. (showing H+). Then, when I switch it to sleep mode, it will loose the H+ after a few seconds/minutes and show H. However with the H signal, I can't access the internet (but I receive toasts).

To get back the data connection working, I need to toggle on and off the airplane mode rly: Then it works until a put my phone in sleep mode :crying:

I tried a lot of thing such as hard reset, adding manually an apn, changing csc, disabling data sense, ... But none of these worked.

I know this is a problem related to the OS and not to the carrier because I tried with another sim card from another carrier, and got the same bug. Then I put my sim card into a Lumia 625 and it works perfectly.

I got this problem since the last update of Windows Phone 8.1.

I was wondering if someone else was having this problem and if he managed to fix it. (Hope it will be fixed in the final release of WP 8.1)

Go to settings-apn chek Automatic APN and restart your phone..

I had already tried that, but thanks for your answer.

I fixed the problem by flashing it back to GDR3. I'll have to wait for the official 8.1 release to get back the new functionalities but I suppose this won't be too long.
