Those look pretty nice, don't know if i could release my 1020 for a somewhat downgrade in MP's even though I know, MP's aren't everything.

I don't think the 1520's camera is literally equal to the one on the 1020, right? (In terms of image quality)

Just wait a little and Nokia (Microsoft) will announce a WP 8.1 flagship that will make you sell your kidneys just to buy it.

People have said the same thing before the 900 launched. Then the 920. Then the 1020. You have to temper your expectations. 8.1 won't be anything drastic either. Just get what's available now. You can always sell it down the road. Nokia phones hold their value better than others. It's kind of ironic though since it's because so few people have bought Lumias, the second hand market is small and thus the prices haven't been driven down much.

Those show very low levels of noise and lots of details, but have same over saturated colours like 1020. Black update hopefully fixes those. I like what i see nevertheless.

It depends on Sensor Size and that's why Lumia 1520 has only 2X zoom for still images.

I can still see that dotty, almost water color like effect... I cant tell if the dotty ness is has been dailed back... I hope it has. I havent seen this on any other phone so its obv something in the sortware.

Still you only see it when zoomed all the way in and when you look at the oversampled 5mp pics they have amazinlgy crips edges.


This phones too big for me, but I'd live the CPU and SD card slow to make its way to the 1020.... too late now.

The lumia black update seems to improve on the noise/white balance issues quite a bit.. those samples look better than the Sony Z1 .. which is basically the direct competitor here.

The 1020 and the 808 are out of reach.
