Some newbie questions

Hi guys. hope you all are having a nice day.

So, I bought a Lumia 720 3 days ago. Pretty awesome stuff. Haven't really found an angle to complain about. Wherever I see anything that I can't get to work, I just blame myself for being an amateur:winktongue:

Anyway, I had a couple questions. So, I thought of asking them all in one thread instead of multiple ones.

1-
Apps are like the most important things today in a phone, funny how it used to be communication. Anyway, I didn't get any internet connection on my phone yet...well, mostly because its pricing is literally slaughtering in my country. 20 of our money currency goes on just 1mb. But I do have internet on my computer. I downloaded some apps from windowsphone store. I understood from there that I needed the Windows Phone app for desktop, I downloaded that as well. And I connected my phone to the PC via the USB board. Then I got an external disk much like when I insert a flash drive. There are 5 folders - Documents, Photos, Music, Videos & Ringtones. I put something in each folder. But I didn't know where to put the apps, so I just left them outside all the folders inside "Phone". I found all the docs, videos etc I put inside but I didn't find any of them apps after searching on my Lumia 720. So, what I'm basically asking is how can I move apps from my PC to my phone & then install them?

I had read reviews that the music player on 720 was dope. So, I was pretty excited for that. But when I plugged the earphone into the phone & launched a song, the audio was coming out funny. Kinda like "Concert Hall" sound effect. So, then I went into the equalizer and chose almost all the genres "rock" "hip-hop" etc and even tried to customize one. But still, the sound felt kinda loose and funny effected. I was wondering, if anyone else knows my feeling on this.

3-
I have some erm..."private" pics & vids. I found this app called "photo locker" through which I can keep my photos private. But I was wondering if there was any similar way to keep videos in a dark cave as well. Also, the media history-- is there any way to turn it off? Or just remove a particular video from it?

nice questions. Dont know about questions 1 and 3.
2- Maybe the connector on your headset is not appropriate for the Lumia. Have you tried any adapter for this headset or tried another headset?

Well you will find apps in store in SD card folder. From there u can install apps internet should be there though.

@Kelvin Morais, thanks! Well, I hope I get some nice answers as well. About the headset, I doubt it. It was given to me directly through the purchase of the phone, it was included in the box. And I've tried another Nokia headset on my 720, same results. And my new headset on another Nokia phone as well, worked fine on that one.

@amitnahar, mate could you be specific on where exactly that folder is on my phone? I plan on getting internet. For now, I just want to collect the apps on my phone & then install all when I do get the connection.

Ohhh shoot, I think what amitnhar is saying is what I was thinking about. If u have an SD Card in your phone, you put the apps in there, from there u can find them in the app store called SD folder or something, and u install them, I believe. Not too sure if that's the case but try that

For your second question, looks like there is some problem with the headset jack on your phone as the same headsets works well with other phones. Try blowing air into the jack. If that doesnt work, take it to the nearest Nokia Care.

Third one, not sure of any app which can hide the videos, but you download "WP Tools" app to clear out the history in Music+Videos hub.
