It's a mistake to think that productivity = OneNote and drawing. There are many other things you can do with a tablet.
Well, it technically would redefine productivity
It's a windows based forum. We have to bash Apple here...don't take it too seriously.

Someone's that's willing to invest in the right accessories, apps and cloud storage can get a lot done with an iPad, especially now that's Office is available. I have a Surface 2, and aside from the USB hub that I bought, my "investment" consisted of old accessories I grabbed off the shelf. However, those that don't mind paying the "Apple tax" can be very productive. Still, IMO, the clear productivity advantage goes to MS and x86 tablets.
Obviously you are not well versed in what your are talking about. I have used x86 based windows on a Fujitsu with wacom pen Enabled screen and it works great. I have also had friends using It on fujitsus that are wacom and multitoich enabled with no issues. You should read up a little more. Why would you use x86 on a tablet? The UI is completely unsuitable for touch. x86 is only good on a computer with a mouse cursor which means larger screens(laptops, workstations). So in fact, the iPad is the most productive tablet due to enormous app & hardware ecosystem.

And wasn't Windows 8 designed from the ground up to be more touchy feely?

But isn't bashing Apple to be expected from a Windows/Microsoft forum?
