Sound on Continuum

If I use a monitor without speakers build in what are the options that I have to actually play sound in continuum? Is there a way to connect my phone to external speakers to get sound? Thanks for any feedback.

Would Bluetooth working great with all kind of sounds? Like Dolby digital DTS and so on? Any other option?

I don't know the answer. Newer A/V receivers with Dolby DTS accept bluetooth as input, this one for example Yamaha AVENTAGE 5.1-Ch. Network-Ready 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver Black RX-A550BL - Best Buy

Questions about DTS, 5.1 surround sound audio and such are: Does the streaming source send the audio in DTS format? Does the app receiving the stream receive DTS? Does bluetooth sent it to the receiver even if the first two are true? I don't know.

I plug it into one of the HDMI inputs on a Yamaha A/V receiver similar to the one above. The receiver handles the sound and passes the video on to a Plasma TV. The whole system is several (7-8?) years old, so no Bluetooth. The audio sounds good, but I haven't checked if it's DTS or not.
