Sound when Touch rings

I have noticed something kinda wierd...

When my Sprint Touch rings, I can hear the calling party on the speaker prior to my answering. Is that normal? If so, why does it do this?

Couldn't be as bad as my question about GPS software. ;-)

I have no idea why your phone would do that, I haven't experienced anything like that with mine.

Automatic Pickup

I noticed there is automatic pickup

Settings -> Personal tab -> Phone Icon -> More tab

But it seems to be related to headset. It is answer withing x number of rings.

BTW - I really like the Touch - there's almost ZERO activity in the user community. A 180 degree shift from my Treo 700wx.

Yeah I saw the auto pick up in the settings but that isn't it. it is really weird when my phone rings and I let it ring and can hear the calling party clear their throat!

Haven't made it back to the store as I await the pro for possible swap;-)
