SP3 & W10 woes

I upgraded to W10 and everything was working just fine. I've had a preview version installed on a desktop but waited for the RTM for the Surface.

Anyway I couldn't uninstall some store apps so after messing why a few PowerShell commands I thought I'd just restore it. First I tried with the 'keeping my files' option which looked as if it was going ok, but then said it couldn't restore.

So I thought I'd restore it fully (not reset), not good!

Now it boots to a blue screen with an Inacessable_bootdevice error :(

So I'm just downloading a recovery image ready to resume the battle......

Recovery image didn't worth either, just complained about a missing partition?

Anyway spoke to someone at MS Surface support and he confirmed that the product key is held in the UEFI, so I could do a clean install.....which was what I did.

After upgrading all was fine apart from the hardware buttons didn't work (win key & volume).

I didn't worry about it too much, but after it did a Windows Update it was fine. The strange thing was it wanted to also install the 23/7/16 firmware, the strange bit was I had already done this a while ago?

Anyway is fine now......for the time being!
