SP4 i7 Shipping Dates

Pre-orders for the SP4 still show ship by November 20th. I have read a couple of posts where people have been told at MS stores that they will ship on 10/26 with the other tablets. I was speaking to a MS guy at BB and his understanding was they were shipping 10/26 also. He was puzzled when I said the MS web store was showing 11/20. There was another post showing BB Canada shipping them on 10/26 also. It would be a pleasant surprise if they did ship on 10/26. The Surface Book i7s are also shipping on 10/26, but based on the PC World (?) article on the cpus, SB is using a different i7. The SB i7 uses the 520 gpu, the SP4 is suppose to be the iris 540. Anyone hear anything about the i7 ship dates?

The website says I7s are shipping on 10/20 for online orders. My guess is that they will be held for delivery on 10/26. That's usually how these things work for products (like movies for instance) that have an announced availability date.

As far as the stores, my wife and I were told that our SP4s (I7s) will be at the store on 10/26. We're meeting there after work. They're even going to have food.

Yes, you're right. At the store though, I7 pre-orders are available on launch day. At least, that's what we were told when we pre-ordered ours.

They did this with the SP3. The i7's didn't launch till after about a month. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the case.

Not happy about this, but I was told in a chat session with the store this morning that the I7 won't be available in the stores until 11/20. When I asked him why we were told when we pre-ordered it that we would get it on 10/26, he said he didn't know and apologized.

To add to the confusion, I saw an article online sometime in the last day or two talking about how website pre-orders were going to ship on 11/20 and that the only way to get it on 10/26 was to pre-order it at a store. Unfortunately, I can't remember where that article was. I'm going to try to find it.

In the UK my order for the i7 ships by 20th Nov, couple of days after I ordered the i7 ship by date changed to 10th Dec, I really hope mine isn't pushed back as my order still shows 20th Nov.

It looks like new orders for the SP4 i7s have slipped to 12/4. Still hoping the older orders come out before 11/20.

My order still says 11/20. Perhaps because I ordered it on 6th.

The surface book with the i7 came out on the 26th, so that probably caused some confusion.

The i7 16/256 and 16/512 are now out of stock. That surprises me. I would think most people would go for 8gb RAM.

The i7 16/256 and 16/512 are back in stock, but the i7 16/256 has been pushed back to 12/18.
