Speaker issue after Dock

I can not get my internal speakers to work after using and disconnecting from my dock for the first time. Anyone else seen this?

"The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in. Check the connection. Proceed to next step to finish."

** update - after a couple of reboots and no improvement - I did a reboot with the head phones plugged in an that did it...!

right click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner, and select playback devices... select the default one, and it should work
